Diabetic retinopathy is damage to the retina and is a complication that can affect people with diabetes. This is the most common cause of blindness among people of working age.
Boots Optometrists will explain how the diabetic retinopathy screening scheme (DRS) works, what it looks for, and its potential outcomes. They will also explain the symptoms of retinopathy, and how to minimise this complication occurring.
All are welcome, including friends, family and carers.
