There are more than 20 foot or toe amputations each day due to diabetes. This is shocking, especially as four out of five of these amputations are preventable. It is vital that all people living with diabetes know how to look after their feet, and check them regularly.
Louise Miller, the Specialist Diabetes Podiatrist at Yeovil District Hospital, will explain how feet are affected by diabetes, the risk factors, neuropathy, and other associated complications. She will highlight the good footcare regime that all those living with diabetes should observe.
All are welcome, including friends, family and carers.
Free entry and tea/coffee.
